pzo-amazing green canvas canteen strap, agree with chris. so far id only seen such last ditch 'macrame' canvas on pioneer pouches. not sure rucksack categorically late war; as suggested, a lot of these wartime components may be behind post war made rucksacks. interesting well stamped piece, nonetheless.

Thank You Chris and corporalSteiner. That is why I collect nazi era combat equipment. I am in this business for some over 30 years and I am still able to find things "that I have never seen before". This is amazing. Good hunting next year! Happy New Year to all combat equipment lovers

Wow - Some really nice pieces picked up this year!
Among'st the goodies I managed to find I was fortunate to get another set of green webbed Y's, still with the early tropical belt rig. These are undoubtedly NZ veteran souvenir's, hung in a garage for the duration.
Let's see what 2012 brings!
