    Mint late Heer Rucksack

Not really my thing, but I thought this was too cool and too clean to pass on. Anyone have an idea of date of issue? I would think it is pretty late based on the mixed colors and presence of tan fabric and gray web. IMO not tropical at all though.

Very nice! Looks like standard issue from mid to late war. In this case rather late. Congrats on this one. Hard to find in this condition.

            Mint late Heer rucksack.

WZ great find. I love seeing this stuff. It's great to compare it to the early stuff & see the decline in materials and construction.

            Thanks for sharing.

Very nice ruck, I agree mid to late war based on the materials used, such as the grey webbing that was originally used as the internal straps on the M36 and M40 tunics. You'll notice this has the D-rings on the top and bottom; these are designed to secure the A-Frame when the ruck is hung from the Y-Straps. I have one very similar to yours, RB numbered and dated 1945 stamped on the interior grey webbing.
