Are the buttons are sewn originally?
Thread color is gray / steel.

The Buttons are original sewn
These Aluminium Buttons are the Correct Ones to that early Style with Aluminium Grommets/ Eyelets.

They look like they're original to the zelt. As Andy said, Alum buttons on this early zelt are a good indicator. Thread looks correct.
Can you take a photo of the side of the button so I can see how its attached to the zelt? Please show both buttons from a pair.

Also if you wiggle the button is it firmly attached or loose?

Buttons are rather firmly attached, where the stitches are looser let go.
After seeing the holes closer to the buttons are sewn twisted steel and white thread.
In my opinion it's oryginal.
