Strange item

This strange item was found 2 weeks ago in a house in the ardennes along with some other items. Can someone tell me what this is? And is it period?

It looks to me like a monopod seat, you stick the sharp end in the ground and then you open the other end and sit down on it.

I agree, looks like a monopod seat. I don't think it is an issued item but a one (or few) of a kind piecel. Wartime? Maybe. Maybe not.

What other items were found with it? That could give some clue.
