What is the general opinion of the origin of these web frogs?  They have been showing up over the last 15 years, same numbers stamped in the back, in generally unissued shape. I've heard a number of them were found stored in Italy.  Appreciate the comments.

that one seems unissued-check rear joined thread. one sold on waf estand last week or so ago. as far as i see they are beautiful pieces from a lucky find. some seem to have had light use, not all are mint.
