    Found in a 1935 Dated Tornister/Mystery Pouch

Hallo Kameraden! This odd pouch/bag was found in a German 1935 dated Tornister brought home by a G.I. (so the story goes). This bag does not appear to be German... can anyone identify it? Russian? Polish? Finnish? Any idea what it was used for? The leather straps and buckles are very rugged yet the bag is thin and quite flimsy. There are loops for a belt and also D-Rings for a shoulder strap. Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks so much! - Paul Wolfe

Seen something similar with the comms cable laying drum set up I think, on that it is a tool bag?

I would have thought it is some sort of tool bag?

        Wolfey,

Perhaps you could post it on the comms forum if for nothing else to eliminate that as a possibility?
