SA marked Leather Shovel carrier

It indicates that the cover was used by Finnish army. I have seen plenty of pouches, ammo cans and other equipment with this mark, which is a Finnish army property mark. Weapons were mark like that too.
What is strange that all shovels that came from Finnish army have that hole drilled which purpose is a mystery to me.

Yes, SA means Suomen Armeija, Finnish army.
It's a property mark taken to use in 1942.
Billnäs is the manufacturer of the shovel. Nowadays it belongs to Fiskars group. They still produce entrenching tools, used by the Finnish army and the US Marines.

Meaning of the hole, if I remember right, it was used to hang the shovel to the post war combat webbings / military belt.
