                    on second thoughts, who wants a cup with a hole in it? how can that be useful??!!! has anyone dated the hole? looks like at best a ticket home wound.

                      learn some about balistics Steiner.
                      If the round would have hit a body part first, the hole would not look like this

                        hi! cup is 'correct' when it is put round the other way. who knows what side the cup was fitted by the relevant landser, prior to his unplanned appointment with a piece of flying lead.
                        end analysis-to learn something about balistics is one thing. to know which way round the cup was fitted when the shot was fired is another.
                        plus-who said anything about the round hitting the body part first? er, you did. i maintain the shot was fired, hit the cup, and then, edwin, penetrated the backside of the landser, at best. anyway, great FUBAR conversation piece canteen.
