I just got those these pictures from a mg42 Patronenkasten.
What's your opinion, is the colour real or post war applied?

Postwar imo. Underside is sparkling new while most of the boxes underside is damaged etc.

The seller is sonnenschein*43 not sonnenwende...sounds alike but not the same.
