Help with Leather Cases and Belt

I apologize if this is in the wrong location! I have two leather cases with a belt (I only photographed one of the cases because they're the same) that I got with some US medic bandages and such in it. I thought it might be a German medic kit used by a GI, but I'm not sure.

The interior of the cross seems to be red leather:

    Peter Josef Schram

There are stamps all over each case that read something like:
Neußer Nudel- und Stärkefabrik Pet. Jos. Schram, Neuß a. Rhein
(Neuss Noodle and Starch Factory Peter Josef Schram)

Does this mean these were used to carry noodles? Is this not a Wehrmacht item at all? I guess a GI could have used it anyway, but I'd like to get an idea as to what it was used for and when. Thanks!

    Hi there,
Absence of comments likely means there's little chance of this being a less well-known Wehrmacht item. The pouch certainly does not match standard military or DRK (=German Red Cross) pattern medical pouches.

Is the vet still with us? If so, it's an idea to ask whether he went through Neuss during his time in Germany, because my guess is that the belt & pouches were among the privately acquired, therefore not subject to military or other patterns, medical equipment for use at the Noodle & Starch factory.

Hope this may be of some help.
