The "Mückenschutz-Salbe" is a today Flee market Find I want to show you immediately. I was impressed about the RB-Number on it and that the Content is still untouched. The Content smells terrible, i think it will not just knock off Gnats

What is remarkable IMO is that they still use the Sütterlin schrift on the Mückensalbe (in combination with the RB Number)
I think the Sütterlin was forbidden in 1940 ?? (not exactly sure about the date)

Nice stuff. That tin with the RB number is very special. From what I understand, Suetterlin was no longer taught in schools after about 1941 but I do not think its use was forbidden in general.

About Manufacturer AND RB-Markings: I think it has to do with the Fact, that the RB-Number in Origin was just a simple Trade Register Number of the Third Reich and became initially a Military Marking at the End of the War. I think my Mückenschutz Salbe is not a Late war Item so there is the Manufacturer AND the related "Reichs Betriebs Nummer" written on it. It´s maybe around 1940 or so, that would also explain the using of the Sütterlin Type. As we all know, in the Beginning of the War Germany felt so safety to Win that they did not matter about Encoding etc.

Wartime prices - Pfg or RPfg?

Prompted by SMP's question, we know the Reichsmark changed to the Deutschmark in 1948, but while tending to agree with Andy's interpretation of ,,Behelfspackung" as a wartime indicator of the 'Mücken-Alldahin' item(translates to 'Flies-all gone'!), what are peoples' views on Pfg = Pfennig, or RPfg = Reichspfennig, and their period of use?
