Original Pick or Postwar Pick

Hello everyone,
I need help in determining if a pick I purchased is real (of the period) or postwar. I will attach a couple of photos, I tend to like the pick myself, but a fellow collector thinks its for reenactors. Does anyone have any picks to show for comparison? I purchased this from Stewarts Militaria. Any input is much needed.

Hello Chris,
I think this might be an Engineer's Pick, but I may be wrong, what bothers me the most is the fact that is very crude, looks cast not forged as I would like to see, also looks very hastly done. The markings are FFy 44, Why the two capital letters?
