My bayonet is probably on of the last manufactured. Note the crude finishing in the top part of the picture.

Hello again Bart,
interesting point on the finishing. I like late war stuff, it has a charm all of it's own...a friend has a set of 1945 dated K98 ammo pouches constructed from awful quality late war "Leather", but he will not sell them to me
Oh well..can't have it all .
