Nice but backstrap IMO is not original.

I think the backstrap is actually WWII- but it's likely not original to these Y-straps. It's unusual in that it's smooth side out rather than rough out. I agree is looks "off" in the photo. When handled the leather appears old, hardware is right, holes are die cut etc, etc...

The hook is typical breadbag hook. This is not the style of Y-strap hook you can find on other Y-straps so I would still will say that strap is IMO not original.
