    Help with webbing frogs

    Hi Guys.

I would like to learn more about these frogs.

No. 1 and 2 I think might be WWI, but I am not sure.

No. 3 I expect to be late WWII.

No. 4 I think it would be from around 1941-1942.

No. 5 I would say late WWII, as it is made of reworked material.

No. 6 I think would be around 1943. This is the only one with stamp, but it is not readable.

If you see something that does not looks right, just say it

    Best regards

Thanks M98CZ I did not expect that, because I have seen no.2 in different collections, but always with a WWI bayonet. Maybe the WWI bayonets have been reisued with these frogs.

These last 2 must have been made by the same maker, but I think the one to the right is for the CZ24 bayonet. Maybe you know something about that too M98CZ

Frog dated 1942 on WW1/1920 Butcher

I feel confident about this as I know that it came out of the attic of a WW2 Vet along with the other bayo shown and a G43.

I can see the 1942 pretty easily but can't make out the markings above it.

I think you need learn alot. All are original period ( I WW or II WW ). The 4th is missing strap for holding the bayonet handle.

The 4th frog is not missing the strap. It is the very rare tropical version, factory made without the strap,

First three are WWI, No. 4 period made ersatz version, No.6 typical Tropen frog, No. 5 need better pics. Looks not good IMHO:- I do not like webbing, stitches and metal stud used...
