      Hi Robert

      Thats very interesting I have never seen a pouch with a "normal" leather Makers mark overstamped of an SS certified maker too? I have a SS pouch with the same type of stamp, but the number 419/38. Are you aware about who the SS code are covering over for?? I rearly like to know that.

      Regards
      Kim

        Hello Robert,
        I have two of them, if you want I can post photos for comparison, I was going to sell one, but then decided to keep it, anyway, let me know if you want to see photos,

        Thanks Michael

          Hello everybody,

          if I were you I'd ask for opinion in the SS forum for imo these pouches are iffy to say the least(their markings,I mean!)!I repeat.....it's my humble opinion but I don't like these stamps at all!

            Robert,
            Here's a link to a previous thread, with a picture of my set. The markings on yours have double circles around the VA and SS, not sure if that means anything.

            Per Gary Wood's information in that thread:
            VA = Verwaltungsamt ( VASS)
            401 = contract code
            38 = year

            Regards,
            Fred

              Hello!

              Thank you all for the comments, I just un-wrapped the second set ( I'm getting lazy ) and they are marked not the a bit like the the above yet not the same, I'll take pictures today and show this.

              I did by chance also find the smallest of stampings on the the inside of the a compartment lid and I will try to post them, faint but there!

              Thanks Guy's!

                Hello everyone,
                Manny You are saying that because its overstamped I assume.
                Originals tend to be marked also inside, this one is about mint(9.2)
                I also have one more, which I would like to sell, maybe find a set someday.
                Here is a real one:
