its a nice piece imo, with the lid too. but i think i see a crack/flaw in the handle, which would undoubtably effect the price. you could wait for further km pieces and sell as a lot.

Thanks for your posts. Yes it is a crack, but only one on it.

It is fairly rare to find these with the lids. But if you can feel the crack by running your finger nail across it. It does take away from the value.
I just sold a Luftwaffe pitcher with lid for $180 with no crack. And a DAF water pitcher with a lid for $150.
If you can feel the crack, I would value it at about $150, if it is one of the type cracks that you can see, but not feel easily. (Or if it does not go through the handle) I would price it at $200 or a little more.
Without the crack, I would price it at $280 to $300. These KM porcelain pitchers are not very common. You will find 40 Luftwaffe pitchers to every one KM pitcher and actually it is easier to find a SS pitcher than a KM even though the KM does not have the value of a SS pitcher.
It is never safe to assume the lid came with it, but as I said the pitcher itself is one I have only seen a few of and I have over 300 pieces of porcelain in my collection and have sold nearly double that.
A crack in the handle, like that is sometimes a factory flaw and many pieces were flawed. I can not see if it goes all the way through and just from your pictures that you posted it actually looks like it does not. But if it does go all the way through the handle, it would almost cut the value in half from the $280 to $300 (and this is in todays market).
Corporal Steiner is right, the lid looks good and it looks to fit good. But looking at both sides, it reminds me more of a factory flaw than a actual crack, only some close up pictures of the handle can hlep me dtermine value for sure.
I hope this has been of some help.

Wow, thanks Jack for such an answer. Here is the picture of the crack. It can be feeled with the nail, but it does not go all the way through. So something around 200$ should be okay, if I understand your guide right. Thanks again!

                Hi guys,

Just wondering what the Luftwaffe version of this pitcher is worth, the one I was looking at had a piece missing underneath where the lid goes, (using a clock as a guide) it is missing a 4 hours of arc piece on the main body where the lid sits.

                Anyideas?

Sorry for no pics, and should I wait for a complete crackless one (how much then for this type of piece?)

                Cheers

                Jason
