          Yes that's a good 1L canteen, pity the mothing. The code on the cup are for the maker and the composition of the baquelite. Sorry but I haven't got the reference list handy.

            The makers mark 4M does not appear on the Kunstoffe listing of 1940 however the S mark donates that the cup is made from Phenolic resin with a wood sawdust filler
