it seems like a late war breadbag variant. as i understand it, the k98 cleaning kit pocket bb44 was followed by this type...minus central hanging hook. thats my impression, anyway.thereby such a bag need not depend on a belt to wear it. another end krieg cost saving. the internal pocket doesnt look like the ones common in post war bbs. so, is it a special wartime internal pocket? or one made after the war, on a wartime item? the canvas seems very course weave. and the lurid brown internal central fastening leather strap seems to confirm leather part recycling re late war-and (i cant recall to hand the correct number of button holes this piece should have) it seems like left over political leather...other leather tabs have very crude button hole construction...not teardrop.another late war signal imo. in any case, the item is unstamped. id hesitate slightly to say it, as i havent had any in my hand, but' late war bb' with post war pocket divider. incidentally, i like the safety pin. these turn up in kit and imo show a common sense of thrift amongst landser...who knows...such safety pins may even have been issued. and why did this bb dispense with the k98 cleaning kit pocket? well...imo by then they were mostly firing panzerfausten, so such a pocket was no longer necessary.

hi...the inside pocket, as i understand it, seems post war add on. why? because, it seems light material and small, and not the full kind seen in genuine postwar-made bbs. it doesnt look like this is a 3rd reich political bb, which can have the dividers, as i understand. maybe you can picture the item fully, turned inside out, so the full inside pocket can be judged.

            Thanks for this information.
Tomorrow I'll try to make good pictures of the inside pocket.

Please note that divider was add after bread bag was finished, IMHO good late war bread bag. Reissued? Upgrated? Hard to guess. Still nice very late item
