no repairs whatsoever as far as I can see;they're pristine but mismatched!
.....worth considering by someone who's looking for a pair of marching boots in these conditions though!

Great looking boots indeed. But would it have mattered to the soldier in the field that his boots didn't match ?
I've seen boots that didn't match but had the same wear. In fact, I have a pair of (unworn) '44 boots, one by Salamander and the other a different maker and they clearly have different details, still a nice pair.

Very good point Bart!of course the soldier wouldn't have cared less,as lons as the size was(just about)the same!I've got a pair of bergschuhe which are mismatched but that were worn by the same Gebirgsjager.
A collector would rather have matching pairs,especially when he tosses out dough aplenty for a pair of old shoes!

I totally agree with you. Prices are that high any mistake costs too much ...

It's just, collectors these days make too big a fuz about "same colored" tunic and trousers, exactly matching shoulderstraps etc. These are issues noone cared about much in those days. The same goes for the "right" color green that could/should be worn as a Gebirgsjäger, but this discussion has been on this forum many times
