Metal box,what have this been used for

Can anyone here tell me what this metal box has been used for,some kind of optic,radio gear,has ist been in a vehicle.

hmmm not sure but seems like there is a l.F.H. 18 - leichte Feldhaubitze 18 (10,5cm) - so... I would guess it was a box for some optic equipment ?? or other stuff for this gun ???

Correct. It's for the Rundblickfernrohr. Same box used for most artillery pieces, but this one specially marked for the l.F.H. 18. Missing the wooden brackets to hold the scope. The white apinted area shows the position of the "Ausblick".

yes it is for the optic for use on the 105mm feildgun model 18 by th edesignation ie th estandard ww2 105. the case was stowed in a locker in the trail of the gun.re the fellow who wants the tool box for 5cm i have a spare one for trade looking for minenwerfe sights and pak36 cleaning rods .
