    Flight Boots..!

Here's my favorit pair of flight boots..., except for some storage spots these are mint..

Although flightstuff isn't Manu's field , I would like to show him that flightboots can be really nice...

The maker label says : Knebl & Ditrich , Indija , Croatia...

Hi Jos, I like the look of those boots. I know very little about flight gear, but I am always keen to learn

What type are these boots? Are they issue or private purchase?

                Cheers, Ade.

                  Hoi Jos,
your flying boots are, simply put....GORGEOUS !They're not my field but I think I'll get myself a pilot mannequin soon and I'll definitely need a pair of three!
While we're at it could you please explain about the array of them being regularly auctioned on eBay?I've never bothered to stop and have a closer look at them, but I reckon Czech fakers are burning the proverbial midnite oil!
Get ready to recieve a few thousands emails as soon as I'll set my mind on making a pilot mannequin Jos....your experience will be worth its weight in gold!
Congrasts matey, another beautiful outfit of yours !

                    Hi,

Ade and Manu ,my guess is these are issue...

Although I've seen thousands of flightpics I never could find this type..

Nice thing to know is that these boots are Croatian made ... , Prym 6 press buttons though...

A lot of foreign countries were involved in making flightgear for their troops and the Germans..

                    For example :
You'll find many pics of flightcrew wearing the thick fur collar flightsuits with buttons instead of zipper..
These are Hungarian flightsuits , many of the white sheepskin flightsuits were Bulgarian etc...

Manu , most of the time you'll find the blackened sheepskin or goatskin flightboots..
Although the pattern is " Hofmann " you'll find them in different designs...
In the early years you'll find light brown , blue/grey and black double zippers flightboots..
Brown and blue/grey are very scarce...
Later on they changed to only one zipper which can be metal or " bone " ,a kind of artificial plastic..
The " foot" was leather and the rest was sheepskin..
You also can find boots which are half the lenght in leather ,or only one half side...
Also black boots with cream colored upperhalf can be found..
They even came in complete leather pattern..., IMO these were often used by members of the Sea-planes..

You'll also find electrical heated flightboots to go along with the electrical flightsuit and the electrical jacket and trousers and the electrical gloves..

                    As a note :

As far as I know there're no recent fakes concerning flightboots...,

however fake flightboots have been made in the 70 's !!!!!!!!

Here's a pic of a flightjacket having the same maker label in it...

                    Jos.
