    Reichswehr (?) belt supporting straps

    Hi guys,
    does anyone could give me more informations about this belt supporting straps marked 'FRANZ BREHME 1934'? Is it complete in all its parts?
    Any your sincere opinion is welcome.

      Hello Alessandro,


      as far as I know this time already existed in the Imperial Army. And it was also used in the Wehrmacht. It was intended for Officers and mounted soldiers who did not carry a backpack (Tornister) whose shoulder straps were used for supporting the belt.

      The Koppeltragegestell or Y-straps with straps like the tornister's shoulder straps was introduced in 1939 as far as I know.

      The backstrap of Your set is the type of the Y-straps. So it might be a replacement. The type You have I have only seen with sewn in backstrap so far.

      Maybe someone else can confirm that this tpe of backstrap was used earlier.
