    Another pair of unusual shoes

I wanted to share with you this pair of WH issue soft leather sport shoes;these are the very same plimsolls which were so often worn by DAK members in Africa as shown in many photos.
They're fully marked inside and they're dated 1938.Each soldier was issued with a pair of these shoes as part of his sports outfit.
They're quite rare and unusual and I hope you'll enjoy!

Manuel, very nice. First real pair that I've ever seen. Everyone should be aware that these are also now being reproduced, though. So, here's a link to a photo of the current repros. Manuel would have no problem telling them apart. But, for the others....

        Hi Jack,
thank you so much for your kind words!I didn't know that they are being reproduced now and by simply wearing them while digging the weeds in the garden next spring a f#cking crook could turn them in a "gently worn genuine pair of WH-issue..."!They're seldom encountered so they would easily decieve an untrained eye or a less experienced collector!
I'd like to post more shoes as soon as my camera will be repaired(or a new one bought !),but I'm afraid I'll bore all of our friends to death !
        Best
