    What is that leather bag?

Can you please tell me, what was used for that leather bag? There is an ink WaA inside.

Commmunication equipment related, nice althought strap is a lot more interesting. These were also issued with leather flare guns holsters and their ammo pouches. Very nice and valueable catch

I'm new to the forum, hope I'm doing things correctly....

Anyway, I just purchased this item on e-bay and it looks exactly like the bag below but it has the year and Wa number stitched on the side. Is this a legit bag? I'm still waiting to receive it. I also purchased a slide rule with a case from this same buyer, I'll put pics up in a different thread.

Same pouch, somewhat later produced. Original, but unfortunately without the carrying strap. This strap is indeed very interesting, for the above mentioned reasons.

these pouches attract periodic use speculation...(what were they for? etc). they dont fetch too much, market value wise imo....nice stamps, both of them though.
of course, as is often the case, the strap (as also in the case of the pioneer satchel, for example) will attract more interest than the main item.
            as it does here.
so, we're saying the flare bags were issued with the self-same strap? if true thats interesting. shouldnt each kit item have 'its own' strap?

...now start filling the bags, gents. with what? any ideas out there?

btw, do a search with 'musician's pouch/radio/telegraph operator pouch' ...these items will turn up in abundance there.
