    Grenades and Mines

Just picked up these grenades and mines with some other items yesterday. Any help in identifying them (Country, Type) would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Doug

Hi Doug, I do not know if this site might help?

If you get no other help, try posting a link to this thread in the Firearms forum as I think you might get a better responce there?

    Cheers, Ade.

the first one looks to be a german teller mine 42 and the second a teller mine 35, but they don't look 100% right, im not sure but they might be another countrys equivalent? i do not know

German teller mines are from a USA mine training kit... Grenades l-r Danish Mod. 23, and again a Danish mod 23, Japanese (need better picture) Type 97 could be from US Japanese mine and grenade training kit....all items are WW2 BILL GRIST

          Doug,

Bill is correct on the mines and usually the training mines were marked in yellow on the reverse side with the words DUMMY. if not then it was repainted to cover them up but they definitely are out of a US Training kit made during WW2. I have the same exact mines in my collection...hard to find the real ones in top condition. The same thing may apply to the other grenades as well...could be out of the training kits. Bill Petz
