        Anybody? Help please

Any opinions would really help me out as these have been offered to me and I think they are probably OK?

Officer boots are all private purchase and nearly impossible to date. Riding boots were made the same way before, during and after the war, often by the same manufacturers. I think these would be appropriate for an officer display but there is no way to be sure they were actually used by a German officer during the war.

I do like the cotton staps on the inside, BUT
the 51 marking on the sole is no (European) shoe size...

              Thanks guys

              Thanks guys
These are with another group of German militaria I am trying to acquire from a US vets family. The other items include a SA pennant, a NSKK pennant which are assured original pieces. These jackboots which I am not sure about and a destroyed officer's visor which is also unquestionably original. Story is these boots were taken from a German officer by the US veteran in 1945? I realize the markings are not European shoe sizes? Perhaps a manufacturers number or production number of sorts? Question is would any of you equipment collectors be happy with a pair of boots like this in your collection?

              Thanks again

To answer your last question: Yes I would put them on my showroom dummy (of course with cut off toes ). And since they come with other ww2 items from a vet I would say go ahead! But it's about you that should feel happy with them in the end.
