Bottom close up, I can not state that I know it is real, I like it, but have not shown it so, if it is one of the bad ones please say so,

In my opinion, it is a reproduction. The largest flaw in the reproduction of these seems to have been corrected. However, there is still at least two flaws in its construction and the hardware just looks wrong.

I still stand by my original opinion on this A-frame.

I don't want to be obtuse, but fakers are getting real close on these and don't want to help them.

it's a 100% sure fake - I used to own one like that when I was reeneactor...

thanks... but when is it made then? And was it used in any country or is it just a reproduction piece?

I think that it is simply a reproduction that is made to deceive the collector. It is very good. I've not seen one made by a reenactor supplier yet that matches some of the details.

By adding fake rust and aging on the straps that is purely meant to deceive. The person who was selling it to you claimed it was original. So either he was deceived or he was deceiving you. The item did it's job.

                                Fake- -fake - fake

Hail to all above! Put down the frame and walk slowly away. Compare the close ups of the top-section and let all doubt fly! Foggy far away shots are ok for deceiving, but this one doesn't really stand a chance up close!
