Well after 12 years my dog is finally complete. I just got the message canister. Jim

Its dated 1936. Unfortunately the picture wasn't good enough to use. I'll try again once I put it on the dog.

I'm still not sure what the straps were for. Of course you can never have enough straps ha,ha. I'm not sure how many folks collect dog related stuff, probably less than half a dozen. I think the rarity of the items may be a reason why. Jim

This Hund ready to be a tracker, a messenger, or a Watch dog. Of course the dogs were only trained to perform one of these functions. Jim

Oh it also came with the leash. There was a tag on it stamped H5. I'm thinking it was some sort of identity tag. H for Hund?

The H is actually for Heer. Jim
