    German WW2 military watch?

    Hi guys.
What can you tell me about this watch? Is it specificaly a German military watch, or is it just a WW2 period watch. The number at the back seesm to indicate that the watch is linked to the army.

That's right, an army piece. D H stands for Deutches Heer and the numbers represent its serial number.

OK, thanks for the info guys. What does the serail number represent? Is there any way to track the original owner from the number?

There may be a way if it was logged into the wherpass when issued, or purchased, but no master list, it would take a lifetime of Looking at individuals books , but unlikely you would ever find that number, and .. even if you did by chance find it, the guy that owned the book most likely would not sell the book, or possibly ransom you for it if he knew you had the watch. I agree....no.
I have found these at swap meets before in the hands of watch sellers. I think i got my last one for like 40.00.(running)
