    Boots! (Opinions Please?)

    Hallo,

I am looking at buying these boots...

    http://s255.photobucket.com/albums/h...t=67bootb1.jpg

Are they 100% Original World War Two German?? I am 15 and don't know much yet! Who would have worn them? How common were they? Any original pictures of them in use?

    All the best and thanks,
    Nathan

    Hello, Nathan!

These are original german guard boots for cold territories. They have been used it in the North and on the Ostfront especially. They go on the knobelbecher, so they are big sized.

    I hope it helped.

      Hello,
As already mentioned, they are WWII german overboots for sentry in very cold environment. Not very desirable footgear but essential if you want to set up a sentry mannequin on the Ostfront during winter time between late 42 and early 44. As they have a wooden sole, they were not worn in combat...
My pair of mint overboots hasn't seen daylight since 10 years. They wait in a closet for a guard duty that will never come....
