I don't know if the shovel itself is included or not in the deal, but if the answer is yes...don't change anything, it looks like a nice example as well...no pic showing the maker's mark ?

Shovel carrier 1938

The carrier does come with a nice shovel but I already have one. Mine is marked R.? Dahlmann Sonn 1938 with a Waffen-amt. I might sell one of them if I were to win this item on e-bay. David

Not only you Tom. I also looking for one . I would like to get one dated 39 or 40 to my early war soldier.
I heard a lot that many of those leather shovel covers you could find on west european collectors markets ( here in POLAND is very hard to find any shovel cover cause most of them was reused or simply destroyed ).
