    German Jerry can 1942

    Hi guys
Seeking some info on this flee market find.
It is a genuine 1942 dated german jerry can but has been painted black (no signs of fieldgrey or blue paint beneath) and marked in both sides in white "SEA"
What could the meaning of the markings mean, I am sure they are postwar.
Thanks a lot for your kind help
    Ace

I don't think you were ripped off, over here in GB the cheapest I've seen is about £15 and that was a rough dented can.I have seen at various shows certain dealers asking well over £100 just for an ordinary Wehrmacht can.I would be quite happy paying that price for your can,the last one I bought I payed £45( 50euro)for it.Regards Hans.
