Is the hardware stamped in any way ???

Difficult to tell with these if they are post war or not... I don't have a very good feeling about the webbing..... but one really needs these in hand..

            Hello,
I'm not convinced by the type of webbing and the width of the strap...(too narrow)

                        Hello
The first one posted , I agree , display a post-war webbing , the blue webbing is an original wartime made .
                        Regards

unfortunately there is at least one militaria dealer i know of who happily puts these fake ones on his site on a fairly regular basis for far more money than they are worth, presented as 'originals'. another dealer i know of sells them for a decent repro price. shame such greed exists in this business. not much though, luckily, from my experience.

                            Ammo strap

                            Hi,
Here's one I've had for a long time from a usually impeccable source.
I'm not sure but they may have turned up with all the other ex- Portugese MG34 equipment.
I didn't notice until too late for the pics that one of the large hooks has the pinetree logo stamped into it (is that SC?).
The webbing is a better fit than on the first example in this thread.
                            Further thoughts anyway.
                            Regards,
                            Grossfuss
