Help with gas mask paint please

I believe the paint on this cannister is wartime done. It is panzer grey? and has nice even patina and wear where I believe it should. There are no signs of the standard lighter green on the outside, but the inside of the spare lense compartment is the lighter green. It is 1936 dated on the spare lense lid. What do you guys think of it?

Painting looks OK with these pic's.

Maybe you can make a few close ups of painting, by edges and other points with tracing of wear.
