    Could this be something that have been used duing the war?
    (I know that similar boxes where used.)

    i think its a civilian eating tin/food storage tin...wartime or thereabouts production. or post war east european military issue. not sure. similar kidney shape to ww2 wehrmacht messtins. but i dont think itll fit one.

      Hi,

      This type of blechdose was in use during ww2 for wehrmacht troops, as a breadkit. The one's of i know for sure they are original have two edge's. This one could be postwar eastern German. They are used there, these aluminium variant and later plastic with the inscription "Brotdose".
      There are lots of different kinds of these "Brotdose".

        Ah thanks, now i finnaly know what they are, i got one somewere here.. it came with LW stuff.. i hope i can find it back!
        I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
        Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
