      Very nice Entrenching tool

      Too bad the straps are resewn, but nevertheless, it's a nice tan ersatz material entrenching tool cover !

          Yes, the belt loops are repaired as far as I can see....

          No problem, still a very nice entrenching tool IMHO

              I would say they were shortened but NOT repaired!! I have seen such thing in few examples of e-tool covers. Belt straps were simply too long and were shortened to better fit to belt and hip.

                        I own tan Presstoff version straight shovel cover and it is also shortened not repaired. Leather is still very supple and whole cover is close to mint condition. I think that these were made with very long belt loops, maybe too long for 16 or 17 years old Soldaten.
