    Smoking Gear...

    Here's a nice original pipe..

Although a little faint, the pipe has a blue eagle stamp on it..

    Any more pipes,cigarettes or cigars..?

    Jos.

          HI Jos,

Here is an example of the classic type pipe favoured by all branches. This came from Russia.

          Cheers

Hi Mark, nice!...what says the label on the cigar?

Here some more...note the luftwaffe ( I think) issued matches in the bakelite box.

                Cheers

                  Hi Jan,

The label says 'Puros' and 'Deutsche Wehrmacht Steuerfrei'

                  Cheers

                    Hey guys ,nice stuff....
                    Nick ,I never tasted it..
                    It's a unissued pipe,otherwise I would take a draw..
The iron thing is to give it some air for a better burn..

Marks pipe is a very nice one,I saw them in pics..
Mark, can we have some close-ups of your lighter and matches..?

Jan,yes ,I think the bakelite match containers are Luftwaffe..
They belonged to a survival kit IMO.
They can have some stronge wind..
When you unscrew the lid there's a rough surface to the container.
That's to lit the match.. (did you know that ? )

BTW,very nice colored picture underneath your stuff..!!!

Would it be possible to have a picture/scan from that ??

                    Jos.

                      Thanks Mark and Jos

Jos, yes I knew how these were used.
The picture appears to be from a signalmagazine, although I don't know which edition, neither do I know who it is...I will try to send you a scan via email, because the picture is in fact lager then A4 format.

                      Cheers

I do not know if normal Zigaretten also fit in this category. Anyway, I show some. Did there exist special packages only for Wehrmacht-use, like for Schoka-Kola and other stuff?

Two packages have a broken Steuerbanderole (in English?). I do not smoke, so I won't be tempted. Also looks quite dry

The smallest package is still closed. All three have the bird on the Steuerbanderole.

These cigars have found on an attic in Estonia.
