I think that my French colleague is from a special "school"in France : All pieces fond on the field are original. Not the others. I know he found this item in Elsass. OK, but I think sincerely the Russian are good. If we have a Dorette in collection, it is not coming from the battleflied. I never found them in Elsass or Normandy. But they are good!

I read this post with great interest and I am still confused.

EDoudou you make some interesting claims stating that there are some actual & physical differences between the pouch(s) in your collection and the "Ukrainian" stock .



-“D ring” slightly larger on the Russian model
-The two rivets that hold the piece of leather for “D ring” are full ... while on the Russian lot they are different
-The 2 metal pins are bigger and less fine on Russian fakes
-The legs of closures on the front were made in cigarette papers, while on ORIGINAL G43 Pouch it is thick leather
-The Russian copies of the lot are little bigger than ORIGINAL G43 Pouch
-... oilcloth ... is much more plastic on Russian fakes…



Maybe you'd be kind enough to create a post with the 2 types side by side with precise measurements to illustrate your claim.

Maybe your oponents could also do the same if they think there are exactly the same .

Fake pouches? G43/K43.

Good day,not wishing to reopen this can of worms so to speak but since some
someone asked for some comparison pictures here are a few.
#1
Large Y strap ringon a ros44 pouch with hollow type rivits.
Smaller Y strap ring on a qkv44 pouch with solid type rivits.

Lastly.The 5 leather pouches vary in terms of quality,some retaining straps feel flimsy while others do not and the same with the pouches themselves.All the leather pouches are stamped ros44.I would like to know if it would be possible (bearing in mind the cheap labour costs in certain parts of the globe)to still make a worthwhile profit on these pouches when they are being sold C £30 each.Regards Hans.

It is a lot easier to understand that these are geniune for collectors less for smaller or bigger businesmans.


Nice study and interesting comparsion of itmes. For most of guys these made from vinyl are interesting, less valueable brown leather made are a bit beyond range of honest studies like yours.

Hi again,before we leave this particular subject I would like to post pictures of my favourite pouch an fuq 45.The fakers spent a lot of time on this beauty,on the front we have black pebbled leather closure straps with the other fittings in brown leather and on the reverse fabric belt loops and brown leather for the Y strap fitting!NICE!!! Complete with that old musty smell from a spray can?Thats all cheers Hans.

I see this is an old thread, and a horse that's probably been beaten over and over.

If these pouches are fake, they are absolutely the best fakes ever made. I've compared cny44 and cny45 Ukraine pouches to old originals, and they are exact matches. The qkv44 will match the qkv44 originals, fuq44 will match fuq44 and fuq45 originals exactly.

I like them, and have a collection of them. If I have to tag them as Ukraine imports for the rest of my life I will, but that won't change the value of them. Nows the time to buy...

I have on of this type, they are lovely - these are now rare and hard to get compared to other types - I guess We have to give a call, them fakers, and order more of this type

I have about 12 different types, the fakes sure have great fantasy and different materials to their posession
All my pouches have been treated with that same smelly spay can.
Anybody knows were I can buy those spray cans, like to spray the rest of my collection too!
And please fakers: make more Ersatz fuq's!
