    Strange metal detector find

    I was metal detecting in Iselohn, germany when i found a spot where a german soldier had buried all his belongings before surrendering. An ID disk, ammo, the normal stuff. What I didnt expect to find was a strange revolver, it looks like a 357 and it has what appears to be an owls face on the upper part of the handle.Can anyone help me identify this revolver? Also I was wondering if the wehrmacht was issued pocket knives, I found one there to in his spot.
