Hi, I picked up these MP40 pouches recently and am trying to verify if they are original WWII or just very good reproductions. I got them from a guy in Germany who sells a lot of German WWII items and he says they are original. A friend of mine who collects MP40 pouches has his doubts about them and suggested I post pics of them here for comments by other collectors. The stitching does not fluoresce under black light and the leather and fittings appear to be very old. The color of the canvas is very dark blue and there is just a single Waffenamt on one belt loop on each of the pouches. I can not read the numbers on it due to the pebble grain texture and wear on the leather. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John
