WH Blanket ?

Hi WAF,

I have had this blanket for 30 years and would like to know if this is a WH blanket or not. The blanket is a salt and pepper, purple color. It doesn't have any stripes on the ends. All comments welcome

Could be any kind of Blanket... could you show the blanket unrolled ? and in particular the ends of the blanket? is it "stitched"?

Steve, I like this blanket and I would buy it as a WWII German blanket if the price was right. They used all kinds of blankets and I have heard of purple blankets before. There is likely no way to prove that this was used by a German soldier but I like the color and weave, it looks period to me. I have seen original blankets in a variety of solid colors, without stripes. Despite the fact that there is probably no way to be sure of the exact origin of this item, it would look great on display with a tornister, in my opinion.
