    Opinions on rucksack and straps

    Hello

In reference to an older thread in which I posted a similar one (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219480), I would like to hear some opinions on below rucksack.

No markings on the sack itself, only the carrying-straps are marked with a 44 date, makers code "bla" and a WaAmbt nbr 159.

To be honest, I have doubts that the straps belong to it.

If this rucksack turns out to be post-war (which wouldn't suprise me) and straps are genuine, what kind of purpose did those straps originally had? I remember seeing similar ones attached to a foodcontainer once...

Offcourse, markings on straps could be have been faked too.

All input is, as always, highly appriciated!

    Regards
    Jan
