    Interesting gasmask

    Hi.
    My friend have this gasmask. It's strange because it's adapted for fast swap glasses. This mask was found in old house with gasmask and gasmask canister for Afrika Korps.
    Maybe it's Africa Korps too?

    Please about identyfication.

    Gas mask

    Very interesting... When I was a part of Ostfront Militaria, we had a one time a gas mask that had the lens frames and lenses from the Maskenbrille attached over the lenes on custom soldered brackets. I seem to remember this mask having a two digit number painted on the shout like yours... I will see if I cannot drum up a photo.

      Indeed a very interesting specimen. I have no idea which model this is, looks like a transitional model. It is a GM 38 rubber mask with eyepieces with thread on the outside. The eyepieces are entirely different from the GM 30.
      Maybe this was an experimental piece to see how these eyepieces held, but were later replaced by the standard GM38 eyepieces.

      Just a thought ofcourse...

      Does it have any marjings, WaA stamps or dates inside the mask?
