    help needed - zeltbahn availability

I've been searching around for quite some time looking for
the perfect ss oakleaf reversible zeltbahn for my collection
but haven't had the best of luck.
I have came across a few excellent ones that had only minor
detractions, then recently I came across one that was very near
unissued condition....with the only detraction being two missing
    buttons, one from each side.

I wanted to know if it would be considered impossible to locate one over
time that is unissued, with not one imperfection.
I have been told to just add two buttons onto the zelt that is missing two
but I'm too honest....I don't believe in repairing or altering thing in anyway
    what so ever.
Am I looking for something that is un - realistic?
    Any info would be great.

    Cheers.

Duffy, what you are looking for is out there somewhere. The question is, are you patient enough to wait until it comes around? Even if it means years? It takes a lot of discipline and dedication to wait for the perfect item without settling for something close. With Oak Leaf being the most common pattern of SS zelt, these must have been mass produced in the hundreds of thousands and I am sure there is a mint one somewhere.

Thanks very much for your opinion, it's appreciated.

The one ss oak zelt that was virtually unissued with the only
detractions being two missing buttons is currently priced at $ 1500,
would you say this is too much? In my opinion it would be worth that
if there were no missing buttons but since there are two missing, I was
thinking perhaps I could wait it out, cross my fingers, and hopefully
come across a superb one later on?

I would say 1500,- is way too expensive, in my opinion a currant price would be around 700,-
        Best regards, Tom

I thought $ 1500 was steep, escpecially when I recently found two buttons missing. I guess for that price, there should be no issues or detractions at all!
I bought my first one for $ 995 and it was a great piece, it was oakleaf as well, but chose to upgrade once and for all if I could! I had come across this other one with the two missing buttons for $ 1500 but I believe I'll pass on it!
I always figured that it's worth the money, if it's all good, despite the fact if it is
of a steeper price, I guess with this one though....nope, I'll keep the quest going with looking for better!
Cheers and thanks for all input.
