Binocular Case for Belt? marked 1941

Hi,

Got this Leather Case on the Flea Market for 1EUR today

Its marked with dny 1941
A big "S" on the Flap and a "L" on the claps.

I only asume it could be for a Binocular to wear it on a belt...anyone know what it really is for?
Maybe a Photo in wear?
