I have a pair of leather and felt boots that do up with a buckle at the top back of boot, i was told these where original ww2 there is no markings on the boots as far as a rb number, but the boots are leather on the bottom with a rubber sole over this and on this it says Para sohle is this original to the boots or been resoled post war i do not think they are E German ??

Your felt and leathers sound okay. The heel, I don't know. May have been replaced. My pair has a stacked leather heel with horseshoe. -

found out these are original felt and leather boots that the soldier wore on the retreat from Russia and as as POW and wore them well into the late 1950's when he had them resoled!
bought these for £5!
