    Weird bredbag

this one is a big question mark for me...
I will say two things about and leave it for You consideration..

    1. I got from a good source - supossed to be found in a backpack full of blanket straps and helmet straps in southern Poland. I got it around 6 years ago together with some of these straps - all 100% real and mint

    2. Friend of mine told me its a DDR breadbag

now what are Your opinions guys ?? did You ever see this pattern before ? - should be common if its a DDR - but I'v never had a chance to see another example like that

              Hello
Looks like a good breadbag simplified to the extreme !!! either very late war , or immediate post-war ( simplified due to shortage ?) , I think Jphillip will know a lot more about these.
              Regards
              P-Y

                    Hello Gentlemen,
this one reminds me some postwar breadbags made in Germany for the french.
there are several types with or without carrying strap, always without D-rings, all made of green canvas cloth. At first they look like some german ersatz items, but they're not. they could be considered as part of reparations , like web entrenching tool carriers, square splinter pattern Zeltbahnen, etc....all including some german features, but always with the lack of others features or new ones french made. new shape or new cloth or new buttons or new design, etc....
there were still amounts of these items in french barracks some years ago (maybe there are still....). Latest find by a friend who belongs to the french navy was dozens and dozens of web entrenching tool carriers in a french naval base. some say these items were rarely used, some say they were meant for french back-up troops or passive defense...

on the DDR forum was isea its a post war czech bag - it maybe - color looks a like.. - but there is no mark after czech stamps - and Czech stamped their lions almost anywhere the could... weird...

I would love to see another example like that with confirmed provenance...
