    signalpatrone Behälter

Hello, this case, is it German WW2 or DDR with fake stamp?
No stamps on the leather -> maybe late war but the name of that abteilung is not in use after feb. 1941 so I think this "Behälter" is DDR
The name of the city is incorrect. Jüterbog is correct i think, not Jütorbog
    What do you think????

    Hi!

As far as I know this pouch was only manufactured in presstoff during the war, and not in leather! Some of the details was in leather on the originals, but never in pig-skin IMO.
But all that aside; with a stamp like that I would put it down and walk away imediately! Eagles like that on equipment screams FAKE to me!

Far from an expert on these, but I agree on the stamp.
These obvious style eagles are definatly bad and often seen on items to decieve.

          Cheers

They were made of leather (smooth, no pig-skin), too. I have picked up a leather one some years ago at a bavarian fleamarket for 6,-DM... They are very rare, same goes for the flarepistol holster made of leather.

The one in question here is of course DDR.

And you are sure it is not the "low-cut" 18 cartridge case you have seen, as they are always made of leather!? The "high"-model must be ultra rare in real leather, as I have had several dozens, but always made of presstoff.

The flare gun holster was exclusively made of leather pre 1940, and mostly of presstoff after 1939. One exception being Police holsters that were continued to be made of leather.

                    Genossen,

Da!, It is most likely DDR Scale of Issue, it should have an ink MdI marking in the lid, normally this is too big to just easily hide .
