I like everything about them except maybe the back strap. Im still learning with these but as far as the front straps, leather oval and all the hardware, SWEET! maybe the back strap is fine too, I cant comment on that but Ill be watching. good luck. Glenn

They are marked SEEGEBUFFENBACH 1941 on the leather portion. Martin

I share Glenn's doubt about back strap - could be made up from regular blanket strap - not enough pictures of it.. - othewr than that - looks cool !

I also noticed that the back straps button holes are not reenforced They look like someone just punched some holes into it.

they are not punched - they are waved like that - its regular blanet/utility trap most likely..
Glenn - I didnt pay attention to that color - very odd - I give 95% back strap is made up from scratch

boy, if only this was an original back strap. that would be a kick ass pair. rear straps are virtually impossible to find though. Glenn

                            Hello,

Please post more photos of the back strap and metal fitting. From the photo, it appears to be Czech. Tropical Y-strap metal fittings were sort of a mild grey color. Never green. It looks like someone may have altered the back strap with a Czech piece.

                            C.

Sorry, don't have these in hand to take more detailed photos. I agree with everyone so far about the back strap. The green paint is bad mojo. The entire backstrap, even with a period tropical strap, looks replaced.
